Crisis Intervention & Support Services

Georgia MENTOR provides crisis intervention services for the children we serve and their families. These services are designed to offer short-term support during crisis and emergency situations and can include emergency placements, intensive behavioral therapy, and respite. Our crisis intervention services help provide further stability for the people we serve.  We also provide specialized support services, including:

ICSP for Children & Adolescents

The Intensive Community Support Program (ICSP) helps stabilize a child’s current living situation, whether the child lives at home, in foster care, or with their adoptive family. Our team of experts develops a personalized plan to meet the unique challenges faced by the child and family. The work is done in the home and under the guidance of our expert staff.

Family Intervention Services

While an exciting time for the family and child, the adoption process is also a life changing experience for everyone involved. Our Family Intervention Team (FIT) offers services to adoptive families before and after the adoption to help them navigate through the immense changes they face. The FIT provides crisis stabilization, support, skill building for family members, and links to local community resources. The services are designed to provide personalized, short-term support to help identify and resolve challenging issues.  To make a referral, download the referral form.
