Community Access Services

Community Access Services are integrated into the Individual Service Plan for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our residential programs. They are designed to help the individuals we serve integrate into the community by helping them develop the skills they need.

Goals are set based on the individual’s experience and abilities and can include shopping for groceries, eating in restaurants, and other activities set to help improve their social skills. The individual is brought into the community where they are encouraged to interact with other people under the guidance of an independent support coordinator.

Community Access Services can be provided on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. Like our other services, they are flexible and can be altered at any time to meet the needs and abilities of the individual.
