Conference Details

Continental Breakfast will be served from 8:00AM-9:00AM

Lunch is provided on site for all attendees.

There will be entertainment activities for children such as:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Photo booth

Child care will be provided.

Free transportation:

Transportation will be available from Augusta, Savannah, Macon and Atlanta areas.

Adoption Conference

Grandparents with young girlPlease join us for this FREE Adoption Conference which will help you gain useful insights into adoption services, issues, professionals that can help, and general information on the issues that come up during adoptions.

Many families that adopt children oftentimes find themselves needing support or guidance, but encounter difficulty when looking for adoption competent resources. In some instances, families may not be aware of some of the challenges that may impact their family such as those related to trauma.

The goal of the conference is to enhance the knowledge of adoptive parents in several key areas (such as birth family issues, post adoption resources, attachment, grief and loss).

The conference will include small group facilitators, a keynote speaker, and a special guest speaker.

There will be an area of display tables of other agencies that provide services to adoptive families within Georgia for you to browse their services.

Special Guest Speaker

Desiree Ross, Actress

Desiree is a rising young TV Star from South Carolina. She has been featured on the new Oprah TV show “Greenleaf” and has appeared in several films, such as “Crossing the River”, “Old Souls”, and “Falling Skies” TV series.

Desiree will speak with teen attendees about confidence and self-esteem.

Desiree likes to help in her community, she has worked in food pantries, children’s room at church, completed a mission trip to Nicaragua, fostered dogs and a new goal is to help bring fresh water to Togo, Africa.
